Jasmina Andrews is the Sole Principal of J. Andrews Solicitor and founded the firm in January 1992. Since then she has dealt with a number of asylum and human rights cases as well as business immigration ones. Jasmina now deals exclusively with business immigration cases and no longer deals with asylum and human rights matters. She has also advised the Association of Police and Court Interpreters on their Constitution.

Jasmina has a Bachelor’s degree in English and English Literature from Belgrade University and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from King’s College, University of London. She completed her training contract at a commercial firm, Bailey Shaw and Gillett.

As Honorary Secretary of the British Southern Slav States Law Association Jasmina organised visits of overseas lawyers for work experience in various City of London law firms.

Notable case: S & K [2002] UKIAT 05613 (see para 8 and para 22) and s 77(4) of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.  J. Andrews Solicitor was one of the firms involved in this case. This case extended the law on evidence in human right cases. It is mentioned at para 4.20 in ‘Immigration, Asylum and Human Rights’ by Nicholas Blake QC and Raza Husain, Blackstone’s Human Rights Series, 2003 edition, published by Oxford University Press (Ref. 9781841741406) -  www.oup.co.uk.
